Mom watches The Hunger Games trailer

Me: She's only supposed to be twelve.
Mom: But why couldn't she have been ugly?!

Victory continues!
Mom finished Catching Fire this morning, and seems determined to finish Mockingjay by day’s end. She’s loving every minute of it! haunted-palace: My mom is now reading The Hunger Games. My work here is done.

Personal book cataloging
I’m looking for recommendations for book cataloging software, for personal use. I have an iMac, and a Windows laptop, so the system doesn’t matter. I’ve looked at Delicious Library (App Store link), and I really like the fact that it will catalog everything. Plus its interface is shiny, and, I admit, I like shiny. Bonus for my work and school: I can export bibliographies in APA...

Obituary: William Roll
William G. Roll, one of the pioneers of the serious study of parapsychology, died this morning. I highly recommend his work The Poltergeist, and also his book (written with Valerie Storey) Unleashed: Of Poltergeists and Murder—The Curious Story of Tina Resch, which covers one of the most unusual cases he ever investigated.
